Chlorinated Paraffin Wax (CPW) is a complex mixture of polychlorinated n-alkanes used as a plasticizer or flame retardant in flexible PVC, paints, sealants, and various industrial applications. It is derived from the chlorination of paraffin fractions obtained from petroleum.
